Privacy

The short version: we hold your email address and which packs you bought. Your coloring never leaves your own device. We run no advertising and no cross-site tracking, and we count visits in a way that cannot identify you.
What we store
- Your email address and account id, so a pack can belong to someone.
- The name on your sign-in, when there is one. Signing in with Google hands us the name on that Google account; signing in with an email address hands us nothing but the address. We never show it to anyone else.
- Which packs you own, and the date and amount of each purchase.
- Things saved to your account or install: favourites and stars, free-page and usage counters, referral links, a notification subscription if you turn notifications on, and, if you buy without signing in, a random ID for this install so the purchase can be restored.
- Feedback you send: your message, the app version, browser type and page, and a short code instead of your account.
- A count of page views, through Cloudflare Web Analytics, so we can tell whether the site is working and whether anybody is finding it. It sets no cookies, stores no identifier for you, and follows you nowhere else. It records the page, the referring site, the country and the kind of device — and nothing that singles you out. We cannot tell one visitor from another in it, and neither can Cloudflare.
That is the entire list.
What we never see
- Your card details. On the website, payment happens on Stripe's own checkout page; in the apps, inside Google Play or the App Store. Card numbers never touch this site or our servers.
- Your coloring. Which colors you put where, your finish and palette choices, and your progress are saved in your own browser's local storage. They are never uploaded. Clearing your browser data erases them, and they do not follow you to another device.
- Your photos. A photo you add from your phone, or take with the camera inside the app, is processed entirely on your own device and stored only there. It is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never reaches any server of ours or anyone else's. There is no endpoint on this site that accepts a picture. Nobody at Colorloom can see your photos, because there is nowhere for them to be seen.
- Your signature. Same: drawn or imported on your device, stored on your device.
- Your password. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never receive it.
Adding photos is unlimited on every plan, and that is partly why: they cost us nothing to allow, because they never come near us.
What you make is yours
A page you colored, a drawing you made on a blank page, and a page made from your own photo are yours. Share them, print them, post them, hang them on a wall. We claim nothing in a picture you took, and nothing in the coloring you did. The one thing that stays ours is the blank line art we drew — see terms.
Who else is involved
- Google Play and the App Store — purchases made in the apps, handled under their own privacy policies.
- Stripe — payments and sales tax. Sees your name, email, card and billing address, under Stripe's privacy policy.
- Clerk — accounts and sign-in. Sees your email and login activity.
- Cloudflare — hosting. Handles the requests and keeps short-lived server logs.
- Google Fonts — the two typefaces this site uses.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or send marketing email you did not ask for. The only email we send is about a purchase you made.
Cookies
Only what sign-in requires to keep you logged in, and Stripe's own cookies on its checkout page. No advertising cookies, and none for analytics — the visit counting described above is deliberately cookie-free.
How long we keep it
Purchase records (order number, item, date and amount, with no name or email) are kept as long as you hold the pack, and afterwards for as long as tax law requires us to keep sale records. They are also what lets a Google Play or App Store purchase be restored after you delete your account. Feedback is kept with a short code instead of your account. Everything else goes when your account does.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to get a copy of what we hold on you, correct it, or delete your account and the data attached to it (we keep only the records described under How long we keep it). We will do it, and we will not ask you to justify it. You can also delete your account yourself, in the app or on the website: sign in, open the menu and tap Delete my account. Deleting it removes your list of unlocked packs. Packs you bought through Google Play or the App Store can be restored from the store; packs bought on the website cannot.
Children, and the Kids app
The pages are made for anyone to color. Colorloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Colorloom Kids, below, is the app made for them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or sent us feedback, email us and we will remove it.
Colorloom Kids is a separate install for a child's own device, and it is built so that there is nothing to collect:
- No account, no sign-in, no email address, nothing to type.
- It downloads its set of drawings once, when it is installed, and after that it does not use the network at all.
- No store, no prices, no purchases, and no way to reach one.
- No photos, no camera, no notifications.
- Everything the child draws is saved on that device and nowhere else.
We receive no information from the Kids app, because it sends none.
